Roku TV Quote2
What is Roku? What does it do? What does it want? Does it smell weird?

No, it doesn't have any sort of odor because it's made of plastic and metal. We know that was the most important question on your mind, so you can rest easy. Roku is a small box that connects to your TV and allows you to have all the entertainment you ever wanted at your fingertips... entertainment like the UAN!

Since 2002, Roku has been working to bring you the perfect streaming entertainment device: television, games, music and internet video all in one. Roku’s purpose is convenience. Why have ten remote controls collecting dust in your entertainment center (because really, what did that gray one go to?) when you can have one compact box instead? Roku does everything you could ever want a TV to do… besides make popcorn. It boasts more than 1,000 channels with a crazy-huge variety of programming. From ESPN to Netflix to Disney to Vevo, to Amazon Instant Video to Pandora to Hulu to Angry Birds to HBO to PBS… sorry, we ran out of breath. We could go on for another 900 channels, but who has the time. Of course, we’re probably the most important channel on the device, but we understand that sometimes, you have to catapult little red birds into green pigs after watching The Baldwin McCullough Show.

It sounds cool, but do people actually use Roku?
Roku Infographic 6

In addition to all the broadcast, cable and satellite TV channels, Roku features 31,000 movies to choose from at any given moment. It's one of the many reasons people love Roku. In fact, 40% of Roku users liked Roku so much that they significantly decreased their time watching cable or broadcast, and 20% cancelled their cable and satellite subscriptions altogether! Even Business Insider spread the Roku love, stating, "It simply has the largest content library around." All of Roku's products, when rated by users, have an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

On top of having the largest library of any other streaming device, Roku may also have the largest variety of actual devices. There are three models of traditional Roku boxes, with an unofficial fourth, the Roku LT. Then there are the XD and HD boxes, streaming sticks and remotes. With so many options, you can find the perfect Roku for your lifestyle.

So there has to be a catch to all this Roku business, right? Surely something this awesome costs, like, 100 kidneys. Fear not! Roku models range from $49.99 to $99.99 and are available at all major retailers and Roku's online shop.

With its low cost, innovative simplicity and variety of entertainment options, it’s no wonder it has over 5 million users and 15 million channel downloads! But don't take our word for it. Check out Roku's website for more information.
